In REFLEJO (Spanish for reflection) Dahiana stages a fictional meeting between herself and the famous painter Frida Kahlo. Through Kahlo’s art and diary fragments, Dahiana reflects on themes such as identity, colourism, feminism, gender fluidity and compartmentalization. REFLEJO has played try-outs at DeLaMar West, Meervaart, Bijlmerpark theater, Frascati and Podium Mozaiek.

GEWOON MENS is a surreal, dystopian fiction film about the Dutch benefits affair. We used a very fast production process for the film. From idea to last shooting day in 7 weeks. It was a collective process in which everyone, filmmaker and actors contributed to the script. The speed of making produced a new natural style of play.
